Note 3: Will also appear throughout the show as other characters.

Very many congratulations to everybody who got the part they wanted in this show. Commiserations to those who were not successful on this occasion, but we really appreciated your efforts.

Don’t forget, the ‘dance grouping’ is still to come on Tuesday 20 May (after the AGM), when we will be looking for all our dancers for the show, including bestials and the Angels (more singing opportunities here, too!).

Here’s to the most incredible show in November! Thank you, everybody.

Teaser Trailer for ‘Superstar’

Tuesday, 3 December 2013

Once again, our professional videographer and media-guru, Alastair, has been working hard on our behalf. This time, coming up with our first teaser trailer for November 2014’s production of Jesus Christ Superstar:

Jesus Christ Superstar for Nov 2014

Tuesday, 24 September 2013

At the Palace Theatre, Redditch in November 2014We are thrilled to announce that, after nearly ten years of waiting, we have finally been able to secure the rights to JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR for our November 2014 show.

This all-time classic from TIM RICE and ANDREW LLOYD-WEBBER has travelled the world since it first burst onto Broadway and West End stages in the 1970s, and we are now bringing it to the Palace Theatre for the first time.

The Society is not doing a show in the spring of 2014, so rehearsals for Jesus Christ Superstar will begin earlier than usual – likely some time around the start of April.

This is truly a show with something for everybody – many principal and supporting roles, fabulous dance routines, loads for the chorus to do (disciples, followers, guards, pharisees, lepers! and more) and non-stop singing. It will challenge and excite every member of the company.

Spread the word! We need all the men we can get, but young(er) ladies, especially good dancers, will be more than welcome, too.

Keep your eyes and ears open via all the usual channels (website, Facebook, Twitter, newsletters, jungle drums) for details of our Introduction Night some time in the spring of 2014. You won’t want to miss the chance to be part of this amazing production!

New Video Trailer

Monday, 5 August 2013

Our professional videographer, Alastair Butler, has put his creative talents to great use, and has created a new video trailer for our upcoming production of Whistle Down the Wind.

Rush over to our Next Show page to see it. We think you’ll be very impressed!

Sponsorship Offer

Monday, 5 August 2013

As in previous years, we have created a fabulous sponsorship offer for Whistle Down the Wind.

This is a great package, offering an advert in our programme, tickets to the show, interval refreshments and more. We are hoping it will appeal to any business, no matter how small, who would like to support our Society, but still get a great deal for their money (just £75)!

For full details see our Sponsor Us page.
