If you wish to join the Redditch Operatic Society, or would just like some more information about us, please contact our Chairman, Tony Jay.
We are especially keen to hear from anybody who would like to be involved behind the scenes in any way - from stage crew to props, make-up, costumes, lighting, sound and so on.
Or are you a budding producer or musical director keen to get involved in the amateur musical theatre scene in Redditch? If so, let us know!
And we're always looking for additional rehearsal pianists - a paid position. So if you can play the piano well, and are free on Tuesday and/or Thursday evenings, we'd certainly like to hear from you.
Acting Members
New acting/singing members are welcome, particularly young(er) people and gentlemen of any age (as with any Society, the number of ladies always outweigh the number of men).
The important thing is that you're free on Tuesday evenings, since this is our main rehearsal night. And if you're lucky enough to get a principal part in one of our shows, then you'll need to be free on Thursday evenings, too.
Please note that once we're a couple of weeks into rehearsal for our current production, then the membership list is effectively 'closed' for that particular show. The next opportunity to join the Society as a performing member will therefore be at the start of rehearsals for our next production.
