Redditch Operatic Society has donated over £200 worth of goods to Redditch Nightstop, a local youth homelessness prevention charity.

The goods, including vital bedding and household supplies, were presented to Project Manager Gill Groom of Redditch Nightstop by Tony Jay and Jean Chalk on 4 April 2012.

Over the past 20 years, ROS has donated (or generated through our concert tours) over £26,000 to local charities in Redditch.

Chairman, Tony Jay, said: “One of the Society’s objectives is to assist charities with donations from time to time. Being a Redditch company, we particularly like to support local good causes. Redditch Nightstop seemed like a most worthy cause: it is not only based in our town, but supports young people which, in our own way, we especially like to do.”

Redditch Nightstop provides a wide range of services to 16 to 25 year olds at risk of homelessness, relying on charitable donations from the public and businesses.
